Biography
Nechama Cohen, an observant Jewish mother diagnosed with Type I Diabetes, succeeded to find a way to control her condition and maintain a traditional Jewish lifestyle. In 1985 using her background in nutrition, social work and nursing, she founded the Jewish Diabetes Association to help others - even those without health issues - but wanted to live a healthy lifestyle in order to prevent diabetes and health-related issues.
