Biography
Marcello Ciaccio has completed his MD at the University of Palermo and then Endocrinology Residency at University of Florence. He is currently Full Professor of Clinical Biochemistry at the University of Palermo and Director of the Department of Laboratory Medicine of the University Hospital of Palermo. He was Director of Clinical Biochemistry Residency Program in Clinical Biochemistry of the University of Palermo and Chair of the Department of Bio pathology and Medical Biotechnologies. He has been President of the Italian Society of Clinical Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology. He is member of the Editorial Board of 17 Scientific Journals and he is Author of several scientific papers including original research article, reviews, letters, and book chapters.
